2011 was a year of growth for the Home & Style Division of Color and Light Interiors.

A very busy year and after a year of traveling extensively around Texas could see what perhaps was missing in the retail market.

What were small independently owned boutiques looking for? what were their customers wanting? how could I help them satisfy their customers, help the American economy, bring unique and artistic products to the market, and sell what I could wholeheartedly embrace with confidence and pride…  below are photos of some of the products I found… products which are made with love by companies which believe in what they make.

I hope to bring you more wonderful and unique products as time goes on and am looking forward to another year of exploring Texas on the road.

Prayers for financial peace. For those you know whether your self or friends or family who are struggling financially this season it can be stressful as the season can become so much about consuming. Pray that we and those we know have the peace and joy of God and will see that the true meaning of Christmas is about his love, his mercy, his salvation and having the heart of Christ.

This is something I have been praying about my self as I see so many around me struggling this year with a lack of joy, peace, financial security, and the true meaning of Christmas. Yes, I love the “finer” things in life and appreciate beauty and luxury and it is a very important to me that I find ways to have it in my life.I have found creative ways to fulfill this need of mine and truly believe that God has blessed me with beauty in my life as he knows how much I love and appreciate it. The truth is I used to be addicted to buying, shopping and work and through continuous prayer and the salvation of God he has released me. He has released me from so many things. It is all about prayer.  Prayer to become a new creation in Christ. This was a Bible verse that I silently prayed and had tacked all over my house, my car, in my purse, as a reminder:

Galations 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”.

So for those of us struggling with financial difficulties, health issues, spiritual warfare of loneliness, emptiness, lack of meaning, loss of family and loved ones, any struggle at all this prayer is for you. This prayer will bring you re-newal. Renewal in Christ by releasing your spirit to God. Ask God to do so. Even if you do not believe it, start praying and you will see. If nothing else, but, to have him prove it to you!

Give your heart to God. Do not worry about where this heart is going to come from, he will give it to you. It is his gift to you and the best gift anyone could receive.

Yes.. I still have my days of emotions and desires which come from this world and when they come back my half or full day of fun can turn into the next day of remorse and sadness. So another prayer I say during this time:

Ephesians 6:11-12 “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”.

I wanted to share this with you. I woke up today and was inspired. Ephesians and Galations are two of the best chapters in the Bible to read to remember to help us see the light of Christ and to have the peace of God this Christmas no matter our circumstances.

There is a great book to inspire you this season called “Rennovation of The Heart” By Dallas Williard. I never tire of reading it and am re-reading it this Christmas season and I highly recommend it for those who want a renewal of the heart and mind in 2012!

I love all the lights at Christmas, the decorations, the yummy food, the energy in each city and small town as we all bustle about shopping, meeting with friends, sitting in cafes and restaurants, yet, the true meaning of Christmas is not a festival of artificial lights and Santa (however fun that can be!), but, the true light of Christ in our hearts!

I wish you peace, joy and salvation with a renewed heart of Christ this Christmas! Bring in the lights, the lights of Christ!

2011 has begun with a BANG!  It has been a fast-paced first few weeks as retailers had a fantastic Christmas here in Texas!!!!  I have been traveling around seeing accounts and showing them all of my new introductions for this year.  I have had no lack of finding some wonderful new artists to represent here in the U.S including many local Texas artists.  New introductions include wonderful product imported from Britain: Hartman Cards fine imported Greeting cards, Stationery, & Gifts and the wonderful Notes & Queries line of fine imported Greeting Cards, Gift wrap & Stationery.
